Home-visitors play an important role in supporting families but are often asked to go into homes with domestic violence perpetrators and/or survivors without support for assessing risk in the home. This webinar will discuss how the Safe and Together model can support programs comply with MIECHV benchmarks. Participants will discuss techniques for assessing personal safety, identifying safety concerns for survivors and their children, and ways to work with perpetrators of domestic violence. Participants will be able to identify how to focus on parenting as a motivator for perpetrators’ behavioral change. Finally, participants will discuss resources and ways to support survivors and children in various circumstances.
