Purple and Teal Reception

You are invited to join Louisiana Coalition Against Domestic Violence and Louisiana Foundation Against Sexual Assault for a reception in honor of domestic and sexual violence survivors and those who work to support them every day.

Awards will be presented to advocates, legislators, and public officials in recognition of their efforts to end domestic violence and sexual assault in Louisiana. Public officials and dignitaries from across the state will be in attendance.

Please join us for an evening of appreciation and celebration. This event is held in conjunction with LCADV and LaFASA’s Day at the Capitol events.

Meagan Snedigar is a survivor of sexual, physical, and emotional abuse as well as a strong advocate for victims of abuse. A Baton Rouge native, she studied Philosophy at Louisiana State University. She will be attending LSU for her second degree, a Bachelor of Social Work. She aspires to assist survivors of sexual trauma. Having benefitted from the services provided by STAR, she has spread awareness of the organization in her community, and encouraged her peers to become active participants in the mission to support survivors. When Meagan is not fighting for the cause, she unwinds by reading books and writing poetry.
