Successfully Motivating Teens To Take Leadership Roles In Prevention will be presented by Jennifer Rauhouse Executive Director and Founder of Peer Solutions and guest speaker Eli Chevalier a Senior High School student that is a Peer Educator representing Jennifer’s program.

- In 1981, Jennifer Rauhouse began her work to end sexual, relationship and family violence including child abuse, before it begins. She founded Peer Solutions in 1996 and has developed, implemented and evaluated STAND & SERVE (S&S), a locally and nationally recognized student, school, family and community primary prevention initiative designed to cultivate safety, equality and respect as norms. Jennifer has provided trainings with an emphasis on youth and community mobilization for Arizona, California, Idaho, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Missouri, New Jersey, New York, Kentucky, Virginia, Washington and Wyoming and currently serves on the National Sexual Violence Resource Center’s Advisory Council.

- Eli Chevalier is a senior at Tempe High School in Tempe Arizona. He joined STAND & SERVE (S&S) six years ago and now serves as the Peer Education Coordinator. Eli was instrumental in developing a new initiative entitled THE GUTS TO BE GOOD (G2BG), five things we can all do to make this world a better place: 1. The guts to be Respectful, 2. The guts to be Courteous, 3. The guts to Speak-Up, 4. The guts to be Honest and 5. The guts to Lend a Hand. Eli hosts bi-annual S&S Days at the Capitol, is a peer educator after school and during the summer and facilitates workshops for local and national conferences. Eli is an Under the Trans* Umbrella Expert and is willing to share his expertise as requested. When not volunteering regularly in his community including working with young people, families and school staff dealing with traumatic brain injury, Eli also serves as the President of the Gay Straight Alliance, as Head of the Thespian Club and is an accomplished actor.
